GPS-TD logger deployments have begun
The 2012 penguin foraging data collection on Robben Island has started! So far, five breeding African Penguins have been equipped with GPS-TD loggers for a foraging trip. The devices record temperature, pressure and location. Two birds have returned and here you can see where they were foraging. Two birds are still at sea with loggers while the other was just put on the bird at a nest box this afternoon.

Hi Kate. Thanks for keeping this blog. My girlfriend and I will be joining the earthwatch team on Robben Island in June. It's great to see what has been and is going on. See you soon!
